Synopsis
It was called the heart of Paris, the belly of Paris by Emile Zola. Today the Halles district suffers another trauma. In 2011, Bertrand Delanoë’s team has launched a renovation project, the largest project in the capital for the years to come.
The documentary, made from exceptional testimonies and archives of INA, is a plea. The city of yesterday shines in today’s city. Beyond the nostalgia of black and white houses of Baltard, it’s the life of the Great Paris that emerges in the Halles, for tomorrow.
